Andy Myers
Film Series Coordinator
Andy Myers is the Film Series Coordinator for UNCW ECO and is majoring in Environmental Studies and Film Studies. His main focus is the relationship between poverty and the environment and the overbearing corporate control of the world's resources.
Andy feels very strongly about the ability of everyday citizens to change and correct all of the injustices that exist in our world. He believes that the best way to make an impact is to expose the atrocity and draw out the fiery passions of as many people as possible. He believes in the power of film to accomplish this task and stands in awe when a crowd leaves a theater pissed off and ready to take action on an issue they knew nothing about only two hours earlier. With the Film Series, he hopes to educate and inform people about the injustices occurring all around us and empower them to take a stand on issues larger then themselves.
