People around the world know that the time for a clean energy revolution is now. Power Vote is a campaign to build political will for this revolution by unifying voters and cleaning up politics.

Building up to the election on November 2nd, we will be working to unify young people and empower them to vote for clean energy and green jobs. Dirty energy has been polluting our political process and our environment for far too long. By mobilizing young voters, we will ensure that our politicians stand for people, not polluters. On November 2nd, we will demand that our elected officials work to restore our polluted ecosystems and take action in addressing and combating climate change.

Power Vote will also put the spotlight on politicians for campaign contributions they accept from polluting corporations. With voter guides we hope to help people make informed choices at the polls.

We will be collecting voter pledge cards from students and community members and following up with them in the days leading up to the elections. The pledge cards will be hand delivered to elected officials to serve as a reminder of the responsibilities they must uphold in representing their constituency.

We will continue to let our elected officials know that we voted for them for a reason, we will not forget their promises, and we are not going away.

“If we can pull this off, it will be the biggest single peacetime project humankind will have ever undertaken. Rare is the political leader anywhere in the world who will talk straight about the true size of this challenge.” --Thomas L. Friedman, Hot, Flat, and Crowded
