Due to human impact the quality of our local tidal creeks from the species to the ecosystem level are quite degraded. Our tidal creeks serve as nursery habitats for commercially important biota, and are important recreationally, as well as economically. UNCW ECO aims to address this degradation and become part of the solution through promoting environmentally sounds practices and actively cleaning our creeks.
